Dear Dr. Adler,I am a Master's student of anhprotology at Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario. My study focus at the moment is lucid dreaming in shamanistic practice. I just finished reading Sleep Paralysis and felt compelled to tell you that I found your work absolutely fascinating. Your linguistic comparisons, global breadth, ethnographic and psychological/scientific research convinced me all the way through that the body and the mind, biology and meaning are interrelated and that beliefs have such potent biological efficacy. I was surprised to discover how sleep paralysis experiences have been a hidden source of cultural innovations and beliefs for so long and yet still persist interestingly, with alien abductions. I have recommended this work to my cohort and thesis supervisor, Professor Roger Ivar Lohmann. Thank you for such a fine contribution With Gratitude,Shayne Dahl | Dear Dr. Adler,I am a Master's student of anhprotology at Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario.
